Some artists specialise in reproducing a photo exactly - some sites even offer to transfer a photo onto canvas so it gives the appearance of being "painted." How is my work different? I use your photo as a model to create an original painting. Each piece has distinctive coloring, with texture and brushstrokes, giving a result that is impressionistic and contemporary, and very much a painting rather than a photo. If you review the work in the Gallery, you'll have a good idea of what my style is like. Portrait FeaturesI work in smaller sizes than most portrait artists.The standard canvas is 5"x7". I find the results to be more personal and intimate than larger works. The smaller portraits are easy to display in any room or decor, even in a work evironment at your office or desk. The size is suitable for handing on the wall or displaying on a tabletop with a stand or easel. You can be as creative as you like to show off your portrait! I use Golden Artists Colors exclusively in my work - the highest quality paints, from an employee-owned company in New Berlin, NY. I paint on archival quality, medium weave cotton duck canvas for a finish that shows some texture in the canvas, but does not overwhelm the final product. Your portrait is delivered "ready to hang" with picture wire attached to D-rings on the strecher bars. The canvas is gallery streched with finished sides for hanging without a frame.
